About The Role

 

Role: Sustainability Manager – Reporting

Location: Remote, UK-based with client visits as required.

Rate: Competitive daily rate – this will be dependent on experience and in-line with market rates for the position.

 

Fundamentally, we are looking for someone prepared to deliver sustainable improvements for our clients and have fun whilst doing so – you are a people person who thrives on getting things done and is happy to collaborate with clients and the mnrl team to do so.

 

You will support client engagements (both remotely and on-site, as required) across carbon emissions calculations, decarbonisation and net zero strategies – applying your experience to the following:

 

  • Leading carbon-related client projects across the life cycle, including the preparation and delivery of project-related materials.
  • Collating, analysing and evaluating carbon data.
  • Preparing carbon-related non-financial reporting and disclosures against regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to wider client decarbonisation plans and goals.
  • Identify areas for process and data gathering improvements across client carbon emissions and reporting.
  • Supporting the mnrl Directors with Business Development, and other hoc tasks, as needed.

 

About You

This goes for our people too – we’re firm believers anything can be learnt, but a good attitude and a willingness to get stuck in is essential, therefore, we’re looking for someone who meets the below and is interested in helping to build our business.

 

Must Haves:

 

  • Due to our client’s locations, you must be physically based in the UK.
  • A degree-level or equivalent qualification in a sustainability-related field and / or membership with a leading organisation, such as IEMA.
  • 3 years or more consultancy experience or experience in managing client engagements.
  • Passionate about improving business sustainability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Carbon Data Analysis experience.
  • Experience in Carbon Accounting, Transition or Net Zero planning, GHG emission calculations or carbon-related projects.
  • Understanding of carbon markets, carbon data analysis and science-based targets.

 

Nice to Haves:

 

  • Experience gained via Real Estate, Renewable Energy or Financial Services / ESG.
  • Knowledge and understanding of climate risk management including areas such as TCFD.
  • Project Management in a sustainability-related field.
  • Regulatory knowledge and understanding of carbon-related legislation, such as CDP, GRI and ISO standards.
  • Working experience of Persefoni, Workiva or similar market solutions.
  • Compliance and VCM market processes and certifications.
  • Corporate Communications or Marketing experience.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Non-financial reporting experience.
  • Presentation and data presentation experience.
